About sustainability

The energy transition is well under way. By 2050, all electricity generated in the Netherlands must be fully carbon-neutral. This transition is an enormous undertaking involving many parties, such as project developers, operators, suppliers and government bodies.

The energy transition and a sustainable future

Our lawyers advise and litigate on legal matters relating to renewable energy and the energy transition. They advise on these projects at an early stage as well as throughout development and completion, covering both civil law and administrative law issues.

Real estate and sustainability

Spatial planning rules and government policy play an important role in the development of real estate and sustainability projects. Environmental and planning law determines, among other things, where building is permitted, which activities are allowed and which permits are required. Our lawyers advise project developers on these planning issues. They support clients in obtaining the necessary permits and in disputes with public authorities, and they have extensive experience in proceedings before the administrative courts.
