The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has applied since 25 May 2018. It provides for uniform privacy legislation throughout the European Union. The GDPR places more obligations and responsibilities on organisations, while at the same time strengthening the privacy rights of data subjects.
Our lawyers handle a wide range of privacy law issues. They advise on the processing and protection of personal data, the drafting and review of privacy statements and data processing agreements, and other matters concerning GDPR compliance. They also assist clients in disputes over the processing of personal data and in complaints or proceedings before the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
