About us
Spee & Bijl is an energetic and modern law firm based in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. We advise and litigate for entrepreneurs and businesses on a wide range of legal issues. We combine the expertise and experience required for complex legal matters with the personal attention and direct communication of a smaller firm.
Spee & Bijl was founded in April 2021 by two lawyers: Koen Spee and Benjamin Bijl. They shared the ambition to build a law firm where high-quality legal services go hand in hand with personal commitment, short lines of communication and an entrepreneurial approach. That vision remains the foundation of the firm today.
Since its founding, Spee & Bijl has grown into a team of nine lawyers, and the firm continues to grow steadily. The team consists of driven and talented lawyers, each with their own expertise and background, but with a shared vision of legal practice. By working closely together, we can combine knowledge and experience across different areas of law and give our clients the best possible support.
Our strength lies in our personal commitment and entrepreneurial approach. We prefer to be involved with our clients at an early stage and invest in lasting relationships. As a result, we know the businesses we assist inside out and regularly act as a legal and strategic sparring partner. We look beyond the legal question alone, always keeping our clients’ commercial interests and objectives in mind.
