Attorney-at-law
Jorik van Zuilen is an attorney-at-law at Spee & Bijl, specialising in liability law, insurance law and real estate law.
His practice focuses on liability law. He advises and litigates on a wide range of liability matters, including liability for workplace accidents, damage caused by professional negligence and directors’ liability. He assists clients both in recovering losses and in defending against claims.
Jorik also has in-depth knowledge of insurance law and handles disputes concerning insurance cover, underinsurance, recourse claims and suspected fraud, including entries in the Internal Referral Register (IVR) and External Referral Register (EVR). In these matters he mainly acts for businesses in disputes with insurers.
In addition, he advises and assists clients in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate, with an eye for both the legal aspects of real estate transactions and the commercial interests of his clients.
In 2022 Jorik obtained his master’s degree in Private Law Practice at the University of Amsterdam. He has been an attorney-at-law at Spee & Bijl since February 2022.
