Claire de Vries

She advises and litigates on a wide range of disputes, including in the areas of real estate law, employment law and commercial contracts. She also has a particular interest in commercial partnerships, including franchise, distribution and agency relationships.

Claire stands out for her ability to get to the heart of legal issues and translate them into a clear strategy. She thrives on the dynamics of litigation and enjoys getting her teeth into complex cases, without ever losing sight of the interests behind the legal dispute. With a personal and approachable manner, she looks for pragmatic solutions, while never shying away from proceedings.

Claire obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law and her master’s degrees in Criminal Law and Commercial Legal Practice at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies she gained broad legal experience at several law firms and at the Amsterdam District Court, giving her insight into legal practice from the perspective of both the Bar and the judiciary. Claire has been with Spee & Bijl since January 2026.
